Hoani Waititi Marae
February 2024 - Te Kaiārahi had the honor of hosting year 13 students from Hoani Waititi Kura. They participated in our first ever overnight noho (stay) based in Piha. We spent 2 full days reconnecting the rangatahi (young people) back to te taiao (nature) through our Reconnection Program. This program is designed to benefit participants overall hauora (health) and help find out what they truly want out of life/ how to develop a clear definite plan to achieve it.
Whānau affected by the 2023 weather events
February 2024 - Te Kaiarahi had the honor of hosting whānau affected by the 2023 weather events. We were fortunate enough to run four separate Reconnection Days, each session was filled with different people from all across West Auckland. They were able to attend free of charge, reconnecting them and their whānau back to taiao - Ngā mihi nui to Te Whatu Ora and Auckland Council. This would not have been possible without their support.
